Prof. Rakesh Lingam organized an industrial visit to RSB Transmissions for BTech Mechanical Engineering students as part of their manufacturing processes course. This initiative, leveraging IIT Dharwad’s location in North Karnataka’s manufacturing hub, aims to strengthen academia-industry ties, supporting the "Make In India" mission. We extend our gratitude to RSB Transmissions for hosting the visit, where students gained valuable insights into the transformation of raw materials into final products.

A recent research work led by Prof. Dhriti Sundar Ghosh of Thin Film and Photovoltaics Laboratory, Dept. of Physics, has been published in the journal Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells [Impact Factor: 6.3, Q1 Journal. The paper entitled as “A critical review of unrealistic results in SCAPS-1D simulations: Causes, practical solutions and roadmap ahead” DOI- 10.1016/j.solmat.2024.113230 highlights the discrepancies in reported perovskite solar cell results using the popular simulation tool SCAPS-1D.
Prof. Sai Ram Boggavarapu
Prof. Sai Ram Boggavarapu delivered an impactful plenary talk on “Magnetic Design for Power Electronics and Finite Element Method” at the IEEE Bombay Section Research Colloquium, organized in coordination with Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai on 19th October 2024. The objective was to let research scholars, industry professionals, and faculty know about the recent and future trends in the energy and power sector. Plenary talks were arranged for the same. A platform was made available for researchers to show their work.

Prof. Animesh Sahoo
Dr. Animesh Sahoo, Ph.D. from the Power and Energy Systems Research Group of the EECE Department of IIT Dharwad was recently invited as one of the Keynote speakers in the ‘2024 IEEE North Karnataka Subsection Flagship International Conference (NKCon-2024)’ held on 21st and 22nd of September 2024. He delivered a talk on ‘Electric Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) – Progress and Perspectives’. He discussed about the benefits and challenges of V2G services by Electric Vehicles. Further, he provided a list of future research scopes in line with the recommendation by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) of India. The talk ended with fruitful discussions among academic professors, industry experts, and several research scholars who attended this conference from various institutions.
Prof. Ridhima Tewari
Prof. Ridhima Tewari and Ph.D scholar Tajuddeen Nadaf's paper titled "Posthumanism in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale: Intersections of Identity, Ethics, and Speculative Futures." was presented at the One Day Symposium on "The Hulu Adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale (2017-2025), at Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, U.K. The work was presented by Mr. Tajuddeen Nadaf who participated at the event. The paper marks a significant step in their ongoing research on Posthumanism and Speculative Fiction in the domain of English Literary Studies.
Prof. Ridhima Tewari
Prof. Ridhima Tewari's research group from the field of English Literary Studies made two well-received presentations at the International Conference on 'Whither Integrative Humanities' organised by the English and Foreign Languages University Hyderabad. Prof. Tewari's PhD students Ms Sanjana Sukyii and Mr Tajuddeen Nadaf co-presented their works along with Prof. Tewari. The conference included presenters from various IITs including IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Hyderabad, to name a few. Prof. Tewari was also listed as an eminent speaker for the event.
