Engineers’ Day Celebration at IIT dhArwAD
On 15th September 2025, IIT dhArwAD celebrated Engineers’ Day 2025 with Shri Allahbaksh (AB) Asadullah, Center Head & Associate Vice President, Infosys Hubballi, as the Chief Guest.
In his inspiring address, Shri Asadullah emphasized that “Work is Worship” and called upon engineers to channel their skills towards tackling pressing challenges like climate change, affordable healthcare, and sustainability. He highlighted the role of digital infrastructure, the importance of applying knowledge to real-world problems, and reminded everyone that failures are stepping stones to success. He strongly affirmed that a solid engineering foundation contributes to building a strong nation and an enabling ecosystem.
Director Prof. VenkappayyA R. dEsAi, in his presidential address, paid tribute to stalwarts like Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and Sir C.V. Raman. He recalled Sir Visvesvaraya’s struggles during his student days and his pioneering contributions including Kelgeri Lake (Dharwad), Unkal Lake (Hubballi), Mysore Sandal Soap, Mysore University, and the Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Technological Institute (Bengaluru).
The celebration highlighted the essence of engineering — Engineering the Future, Inspiring Innovation.
