• 25th September 2024:  Link for the application and Brochure for Spring 2024-25 admissions will be updated soon
• 11th October 2024: The applications for Spring 2024-25 Ph.D. program is open for Departments of Biosciences and Bioengineering; Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil & Infrastructure Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering; Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering; Humanities, Economics, Arts and Rural Technologies;  Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering; Physics.  
• 08th November 2024:  The last date of applications for  PhD admissions Spring 2024-25 has been extended till 14 November 2024.
• 19th November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 1 interviews of the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering; Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering; Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering; are released.
• 20th November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 1 interviews of the Department of Physics; & Chemical Engineering are released.
• 21st November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 1 interviews of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is released.

• 22nd November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 1 interviews of the Department of Humanities, Economics, Arts and Rural Technologies; Chemistry & Physics (Updated) are released.

• 26th November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 2 interviews of the Department of Physics is released.
• 27th November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 2 interviews of the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering is released.
• 27th November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 1 interviews of the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering is released.
• 28th November 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 1 interviews of the Civil and Infrastructure Engineering is released.
• 1st December 2024:  The CSE Department PhD admission interview for spring 2024-25 will be held on 2nd-3rd December 2024.
• 3rd December 2024: The list of candidates eligible for Round 2 interviews of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is released.
• 6th December 2024: Final Results are released for the Departments of Biosciences and Bioengineering; Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil & Infrastructure Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering; Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering; Humanities, Economics, Arts and Rural Technologies; Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering; Physics.
• 9th December 2024: Final Results(updated) list is released for the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering.

DIA Fellowship scheme: Government of India has announced a special fellowship scheme for applicants from ASEAN countries to PhD programs in IITs - Doctoral Fellowships in India for ASEAN (DIA). (Note- It was also referred to as ASEAN fellowship in the past.)
