Mr. Malay Pramanik, a doctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Amarnath Hegde,presented a paper titled “Landslide Susceptibility Assessment in the Western Ghats Region of India Using a Hybrid Analytical Approach” at the 9th International Symposium on Geotechnical Safety and Risk (ISGSR), held in Oslo, Norway, from 25 to 28 August 2025.
The symposium brought together leading researchers, academicians, and practitioners from around the world to share recent progress in geotechnical safety and risk assessment. Mr. Pramanik’s presentation highlighted the use of a hybrid analytical method for landslide susceptibility assessment and contributed to discussions on data-driven approaches in geohazard mapping.
