IIT Dharwad inaugurated its Branch Post Office on the institute campus on January 06, 2026, marking a significant step toward enhancing postal and logistical services for the campus community.
The inauguration was formally conducted by Prof. Venkappayya R. Desai, Director, IIT Dharwad in the august presence of Shri Basavaraj M. Walikar, IPoS, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Dharwad Division.
The event was attended by Deans, Associate Deans, faculty members, staff, students and officials from the Department of Posts, and other invitees. The establishment of the Branch Post Office within the IIT Dharwad campus is expected to provide convenient and efficient postal services to students, faculty, staff, and residents of the institute.
The initiative reflects IIT Dharwad’s commitment to strengthening campus infrastructure and improving essential services for its academic community.
