A delegation from Lozen Pharma, a leading contract manufacturer and developer of medicated and functional lozenges for OTC products, vitamins, and supplements, visited IIT DHARWAD on Thursday, 26 February 2026. Lozen Pharma operates from the Belur Industrial Area, DHARWAD and is recognized for its specialized expertise in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical lozenge formulations.
The purpose of the visit was to engage with the Career Development Cell (CDC) team of IIT DHARWAD, and faculty members from the Departments of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering to explore potential avenues for collaboration. The interaction provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on strengthening industry- academia partnerships.
The meeting was attended by faculty members from the respective departments along with CDC representatives. During the deliberations, possible areas of collaboration were discussed, including plant operations, availability and utilization of characterization facilities, industrial visits for students and faculty, and other academic–industrial engagement initiatives.
The visit marks a positive step toward fostering collaborative research, industrial exposure for students, and long-term academic-industry partnerships between IIT DHARWAD and Lozen Pharma.
