Patil, presented his paper titled “Solar-Driven Railway Electrification for Energy Transition: A Case Study from Bengaluru, India” at the Annual Conference organized by JETNET–IIT Kanpur at the International Centre, Goa. 

The study explores the techno-economic potential and scalability of inter-track photovoltaic integration in railway systems, with a focus on Bengaluru Metro, and its implications for energy transition in terms of energy security, equity, and environmental sustainability.
