Landmark Moment for IIT Dharwad!
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modiji, today laid the foundation stone for Phase B infrastructure of IIT Dharwad via video conference. This milestone marks a major step in IIT Dharwad’s journey of academic & research excellence — expanding capacity to 2,500+ students, 150+ faculty, and world-class facilities. PM Modi ji emphasized India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, calling for “Chip to Ship” self-reliance, strengthening higher education, research, innovation & digital connectivity across the nation. The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Union Ministers, State Leaders, and distinguished guests, alongside IIT Dharwad faculty, staff, and students. With Phase-B, IIT Dharwad is set to become a hub for innovation, start-ups, and community impact, contributing to the growth of Hubballi–Dharwad and beyond.
