We are delighted to congratulate Prof Ramjee Repaka on their recent publication on battery thermal management of lithium batteries of an electric vehicle titled "Numerical study of a hybrid battery thermal management system for enhanced thermal regulation in electric vehicles," which got published in the Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry.

The present study focuses on minimizing the possibilities of thermal runaway in the battery pack due to resistive heating occurring at the battery terminals. A hybrid air-liquid cooling strategy has been employed to ensure the prevalence of uniform temperature across the battery for various discharge rates. This modality is expected to enhance the heat-dissipation capability in high-resistance areas while keeping the battery performance intact.
