Yuva Sangam Phase 5: Exploring Heritage, Craft and Defence

The Yuva Sangam delegation from Bihar, hosted by IIT Dharwad, embarked on a journey of discovery, cultural exchange, and hands-on experiences. Day 2 saw the delegation exploring the historic Hampi Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The group visited iconic landmarks and temples, delving into the rich history and architectural brilliance of Karnataka’s heritage. Day 3 offered a unique blend of craft and defence experiences. The team visited the Central Village Pottery Institute, Khanapur, where they interacted with artisans and tried their hands at traditional pottery techniques. Later, they toured the CRPF Cobra Commando Unit, observing weaponry, combat training, and engaging with the Cobra Unit’s commanding officer. Sharing a meal with the unit members was a heartfelt moment, reflecting their dedication and resilience.
