EyongKart Showcases Cultural and Digital Innovation at ICON 25 in Imphal
EyongKart, an initiative of IIT Dharwad’s Emerging Multimedia and AI (EMA) Lab, made a significant impact at the Lions International 46th Annual District Conference – ICON 2025, held on March 8-9 at the City Convention Centre, Imphal. The prestigious event, which gathered over 800 delegates from Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur, served as a hub for discussions on social entrepreneurship, innovation, and humanitarian service.
EyongKart, a digital marketplace dedicated to preserving and promoting Manipur’s traditional handloom and handicrafts, utilized the conference platform to highlight its commitment to integrating local artisans into the digital economy. The initiative aligns with the broader goals of ICON 25, which emphasized innovation, social impact, and economic empowerment.
The presence of EyongKart at ICON 25 underscores its mission to leverage technology for cultural preservation.
