Dr. Animesh Sahoo, Ph.D., Assistant Professor from Power and Energy Group at IIT Dharwad, was recently invited as a resource person in the AICTE sponsored 6 Days ATAL Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) held at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jain (deemed to be University), from 9th December to 14th December, 2024. He delivered a talk on 'Grid Integrated Solar Energy Conversion System with Artificial Intelligence (AI)'. He explained the scope of using AI in various aspects in grid-connected solar PV systems. As an emerging future research scope, he emphasised the use of Digital Twin (DT) technology/framework, which can be derived with different modeling methodologies that integrate energy forecasting, demand side management, control, monitoring, and data visualization. Dr. Sahoo's lecture will benefit faculties who participated in the program and are interested in ongoing teaching and research projects.
