About the session

We are excited to announce that the 25th edition of the International Conference on Speech and Computer (SPECOM) will be held in India from 29th November - 1st December 2023. SPECOM is a prestigious event that brings together researchers and practitioners worldwide to share their latest findings and innovations in speech and language technologies.

As part of our efforts to promote and support young researchers in the speech community, we are organizing a special session for first-author student papers. This session will provide an opportunity for students to present their original work and receive feedback from experts in the field. The papers submitted to this session will undergo the same peer-review process as the regular papers and will be published in the conference proceedings. The best student paper will also receive an award and recognition at the conference.

This special session aims to encourage and support student researchers working on speech and language technology and provide them with a platform to present their work in front of speech experts and peers. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their research, get feedback, network with other researchers, and learn from the state-of-the-art presentations at the conference.

Paper submission

If you are a student and you have a paper that you would like to submit to this special session, please follow these instructions:

• Make sure your paper follows the SPECOM2023 submission guidelines, which can be found here: https://www.iitdh.ac.in/specom-2023/Submissions.html

• Make sure that the student is the primary author.

• Indicate that your paper is intended for the student session by selecting the appropriate option in the submission system.

• The paper submission deadline will be the same as regular papers.
