Congratulations to Deepak Mudakavi, a PHD student (Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering) at IIT Dharwad, has been awarded for Best Paper Presentation in the International Conference on Materials Processing using Lasers and Surface Engineering (IMPULSE 2023) organized by Centre of Excellence for Advanced Laser Material Processing and Surface Engineering from 14th to 15th December, 2023 held at Centre for Outreach and Digital Education, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. Deepak presented a paper titled "Effect of Path Planning Strategies on the Residual Stresses in Laser Powder Directed Energy Deposition Process," which was well received by the conference attendees. It's great to see young minds like his making valuable contributions to the field of materials processing.
