About

I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad, Karnataka, India since February 2019. Currently, I am leading a group of researchers developing power electronic systems for various applications, namely Electric Vehicle Chargers, Inverters for Grid-tied inverters, and DC Circuit Breakers for the Next-Generation Transportation Systems. I am also strongly involved in teaching various core courses both for undergraduate and post-graduate programs at IIT Dharwad.

From July 2018 to January 2019, I worked for Mahindra Electric wherein I was responsible for the development of electric vehicle charger. During my tenure as a post-doctoral fellow with Prof. Kaushik Rajashekara at PEMSES - Power Electronics, Microgrids, and Subsea Electrical Systems Center at the University of Houston, Texas, USA, I was responsible for the development of dc circuit breakers for subsea systems. In August 2014, I joined the power electronics group with Prof. L. Umanand at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Energy Research (ICER) at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, India as a Ph.D. scholar, and received the doctorate in February 2018. My Ph.D. research work focused on the development of novel multilevel inverters topologies for grid-tied applications. I received the Master of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, India in July 2012. Later, from August 2012 to 2014, I worked for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, and I was responsible for the development of high-power radar power supplies.
