I am an assistant professor in the department of Electrical Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad. My primary research interests are in wired and wireless communication circuits and mixed signal SoC design and test.
I obtained my M.Tech + Ph.D. dual degree from Dept. of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2017. I worked on low swing on-chip interconnects under the guidance of Prof. Dinesh Sharma and Prof. Maryam Shojaei Baghini. You can read the abstract of my Ph.D work here. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Goa in the year 2008. After my Ph.D., I had a short stint as a Post-doctoral fellow with Prof. Nagendra Krishnapura in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. I was a visiting faculty member in the department of Avionics at Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Trivandrum during Spring 2017-18.
Research Positions at IIT Dharwad
We have a full time Ph.D. programme. You can apply for Ph.D after obtaining your Master's degree. Applications are called twice a year around April/May and October/November. You will find more information about this here.
We have an MS programme, for which you can apply after you obtain your B.Tech/B.E. degree. IIT Dharwad's MS programme is equivalent to any other M.Tech programme. However, unlike most M.Tech programmes, the emphasis is more on research with a flexible duration. The duration of the programme is a minimum of 2 years and maximum up to 3 years. This programme will give you a good opportunity to explore a research area thoroughly. Armed with this degree, you can then make an informed choice of your further career plan, be it working in industry or pursuing further research and applying for a Ph.D. degree.
