Mr. Manjunathgouda M Patil from the Department of Civil & Infrastructure Engineering, presented his research at the prestigious RILEM Spring Convention & Conference on Innovative Construction Materials and Processes for Sustainable Buildings and Infrastructure 2026, hosted by Ghent University, Belgium, from 13–17 April 2026.

His paper, titled “3D Printable Sustainable Binders Containing Indigenous Materials with Organic Additives: Rheological, Mechanical Characteristics and Life Cycle Assessment,” focuses on the development of low-carbon, 3D-printable construction materials, contributing to advancements in sustainable and digital construction technologies.

During the conference, he also participated in RILEM Technical Committee meetings held at Zwijnaarde Science Park, engaging in meaningful technical discussions and collaborations with global experts.

The institute supported his participation through full financial assistance. He acknowledges the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ramesh Nayaka and collaboration with Prof. Marco Liebscher and Dr. Cesare Signorini from TU Dresden.
