Mr. Godson M D, PhD Research Scholar from the Sustainable Geotechnics research group, Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, presented his research work at the International Conference on Geotechnics, Civil Engineering and Structures (CIGOS 2026) held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, under the supervision of Dr. Giridhar Rajesh Bande. 
The research focused on the shear behaviour of iron and steel slag as sustainable alternatives for railway sub-ballast applications. The study highlights the potential of industrial by-products in developing resilient and sustainable railway infrastructure. The conference provided an excellent platform for international technical interaction and research collaboration.
